Food: Excellent food. I went with my brother and we had the Shakin' Shrimp and International Flight (chicken wings in your choice of flavors--we want with Ginger). The Shakin' Shrimp were medium sized, lightly fried, and very well seasoned. There is a sauce that accompanies the shrimp but it is not even necessary because the shrimp are excellent on their own. We both had oxtail for entrees. Huge portions and the rice and peas were fantastic. The oxtail fell off of the bone as though it had been slow cooked for hours. Plenty of leftovers because we just couldn't finish. Both of my parents are Jamaican and I've been eating oxtail before I could read. Trust me when I say it's amazing. Service: The place is less than 3 months old, hence the reason they are on Groupon. We dined during a weekday at lunch and were pretty much the only patrons. Our waitress was helpful, funny and relatively quick. One or twice a drink refill took longer than necessary but other than that she was great. Can't really recommend this place enough.

This afternoon, we had a chance to taste some delicious HAITIAN Food at Betty's. The chef who is also Betty stopped by our table to explain how she prepared the meals. She also stated that the ingredients are organic and take great pride in making her customers happy. I enjoyed the snapper prepared the Creole style (steamed with a secret red sauce. The Lambi (Conch), chicken Creole and Bullet....soooo good. Well, I will miss the succulent taste of the Lambi when I return home to Hawaii.

When we went, the place was completely empty. We went straight to the bar to get some drinks and apps. The conch fritters were good. I got a burger and it tasted like a pre made burger patty. But the bartender was super nice and talked with us. She made us some drink samples that's she didn't charge for, so that was nice. She told us that Betty is the head chef and her mother. And that she (the daughter) used to bartend in south beach. We knew she must be a good bartender if she worked at those south beach clubs. They are serious down there. The music that they played was nice and we were all singing. There is a drink she made us that was sooo good. I can't remember the name of it but it was a blended drink, with passion fruit juice, cream, and vodka. That was the first one she let us sample. She also made a really great blue drink in a martini glass. I can't speak on if the Haitian food is good or not. But the owners are Haitian. The location is a little odd. We passed it all the time and never noticed it. Inside is very pretty and would be a nice atmosphere for a group dinner. The burger just ruined it for me.

Wow! First time here and DEFINITELY plan on coming back! The food is amazingly delicious! The Juicy Jerk Chicken is the BEST I've tasted in a loooong time. Great food, full bar, good vibes! You MUST come to eat here!

I love this restaurant! I don't live in Pines, yet every time I visit I have to stop by Betty's Place. The food is delicious. The staff is wonderful! I'm a sucker for the fried plantains and their ox tail is delicious. My wife and I plan on having our baby shower here because the also have a large room in the back for parties. I highly recommend Betty's Place to anyone who is looking for an excellent experience and amazing food!

For a Sunday afternoon when there were only 8 people in the restaurant the service was very slow. The waitress was nice and apologetic but the food was not worth the wait. For a Haitian restaurant I was expecting more flavorful food but it was bland. We had the creole chicken and grilled Mahi Mahi, Akra and Conch Fritters. The food was a bit overpriced. Will not be returning.
